1. Who We Are

This policy is issued by Steward’s House Ltd (“Steward’s House,” “we,” “us”), a tax advisory and property management firm based in Kampala, Uganda, and applies to everyone who visits stewardshouse.co.ug or submits information through it.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We only collect personal data you choose to give us, through one of the following forms on this website. We do not collect personal data passively through tracking or analytics (see Section 7).

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to provide it), which service your enquiry relates to, and the message you write.
• Quote request form (Pricing page): your name, email address, phone number (optional), which service you’re asking about, and, depending on what you select, further detail such as whether you’re enquiring as an individual or a business, what kind of tax help you need, or your property’s unit count, type, location, and current management status.
• Newsletter signup (footer and Insights page): your email address only.
• Free tool and template downloads: your email address only, along with which resource you requested.

3. Why We Collect It

We use what you submit only for the reason you submitted it: to respond to your enquiry, prepare a tailored quote, send the newsletter or resource you asked for, or follow up about our tax advisory or property management services. Submitting a form on this site is always your choice, and doing so is how we understand you consent to us processing that information for that stated purpose.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We keep this list to exactly what the site actually uses:

• Our email and newsletter provider delivers our emails and manages our newsletter list. Anything you submit through the contact form, the quote form, or a newsletter or download signup passes through this provider to reach us or to keep you subscribed.
• Our website hosting provider processes standard web traffic data (such as your IP address and browser type) as part of simply running the site and delivering your form submissions to us.

Two other systems support this site but never receive your personal information: the platform that stores the articles, team profiles, and other content we write ourselves, and the service that hosts our own photography. Neither handles anything you submit.

We do not sell personal data to anyone. We may disclose it where required by law, such as to the Uganda Revenue Authority or another regulator, but only where we are legally obligated to.

5. International Transfers

Some of the service providers who support this website operate outside Uganda, which means your information may be processed on servers outside the country as a normal part of how those services work. We only use providers who apply appropriate safeguards to data processed on our behalf.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiry and quote request details for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain our own business records. Newsletter and download subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 8).

7. Cookies and Tracking

This site does not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated first to explain what’s used and why.

8. Your Rights

Under Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you have the right to:

• know what personal data of yours we hold and why
• access a copy of it
• ask us to correct it if it’s inaccurate
• ask us to erase, block, or destroy it
• object to how we’re using it, including opting out of the newsletter at any time
• lodge a complaint with Uganda’s Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) if you believe we’ve mishandled your information

9. Security

We rely on reputable service providers who maintain their own security standards, and we limit access to submitted information to those on our team who need it to respond to you.

This website and our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
